Auto parts warehouse shelves

1. Set a reasonable channel width

The width of heavy-duty shelves in auto parts factories is determined by the handling equipment: if a forklift is used for cargo handling, the aisle width needs to be determined based on the forklift model and turning radius. Generally speaking, the aisle width required for ordinary counterbalanced forklifts is about 3.5-5 meters; while the aisle width required for narrow aisle forklifts can be reduced to 2-3 meters.
Consider the volume of goods handled: If the warehouse handles a large amount of goods, wider aisles are needed to avoid congestion during the handling process, which affects work efficiency. Conversely, if the volume of goods handled is small, the aisle width can be appropriately reduced to increase the space for shelf placement.

2. Utilize the vertical space of the warehouse

Choose the right height for your shelves: Choose the right height for your warehouse to maximize vertical space. For example, for warehouses with high floor heights, choose double-layer or multi-layer mezzanine shelves to divide the warehouse space into multiple levels and increase storage area.
Stacking: For regular-shaped and stable goods, stacking can be used to increase the storage height by stacking them on shelves or directly on the ground. However, attention should be paid to the stability and safety of the stacking to avoid losses caused by the collapse of the goods.
