Cold Storage Shelves Selection and Configuration Guide

1. Material selection standards

Steel and galvanizing

The mainstream is Q235 cold-rolled steel with a yield strength of ≥245MPa. The surface is treated with electrostatic spraying or hot-dip galvanizing. The thickness of the galvanized layer is ≥85μm. It has a salt spray test of ≥1000 hours without rust and is suitable for low temperature environments of -30℃.

Stainless steel (such as 304/316L) is used in high humidity areas and has better corrosion resistance than ordinary steel, but the cost increases by 30%-50%.

 

Composite materials applications

The lightweight design of the aluminum profile and steel-wood hybrid structure shelf has an empty thickness of only 0.3 meters, and the four-layer stacking storage space utilization rate is increased by 70%;

Fiberglass shelves perform well in acidic and alkaline environments, but their load-bearing capacity is limited to less than 800kg/layer.

3. Safety Construction and Maintenance Strategy

‌Antifreeze design points‌

The floor needs to be paved with a polyurethane insulation layer ≥150mm thick, and an anti-frost heave heating device should be installed underneath to prevent soil freezing and structural deformation;

The shelf connection bolts use double-locking wedge threads, which are shock-resistant and prevent from loosening in an environment of -30℃.

Operation and maintenance specifications

 

Check the vertical deviation of the shelf every quarter (≤1/1000) and the horizontal error of the beam is less than 2mm;
